What kind of information will I be asked to provide?
The online questionnaires will ask you basic demographic questions about your age, ethnicity, gender identification, and sexual orientation identification. They will also include more personal questions about the nature of your sexual abuse and a few short questions asking about anxiety and depression. We will ask you to complete each question but you can always skip questions you do not wish to answer.
Over the phone a member of our study team will ask you some more questions about symptoms you have been experiencing. She will also be happy to answer any questions you might have!
- You will be asked to complete a screening questionnaire online and telephone interview with one of our research team members. The call will be scheduled around your availability.
- If you are eligible, we will ask you to fill out questionnaires online before the group starts
- Next you will participate in a 6-week online peer-led group (each group is 1.5 hours, one time per week)
- Finally complete additional questionnaires immediately following the group, two months after the group has ended, and four months after the group has ended
